Summer of Code WYSIWYG Prototype

Ludovic Dubost

Hi,

Pedro Ornelas is working on the Summer of Code WYSIWYG editor for XWiki
project..
There is a first prototype available which looks quite nice..

You can check it out in SVN here:
http://svn.forge.objectweb.org/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/*checkout*/xwiki/xwiki-sandbox/wysiwyg/examples/editor.htm?rev=747

There is still some work to be compatible with XWiki scripting and
support multiple editors in the same window (for forms), but it's going
the right way..

Ludovic

Nice.  How is xwiki scripting going to be supported?  By converting
the html produced by the editor to xwiki syntax (as much as
possible), or by making the wysiwyg editor generate xwiki syntax
directly?

The editor already converts from XHTML to XWiki Syntax.. The support for
velocity and groovy will be part of that conversion to make sure the
editor does not break the pages..
